Hello LOC Members!

The LOC Council is pleased to let you know that we will be rolling out a plan to offer members an opportunity to:

  • Take the certified first aid training, or re-certify, at a subsidized cost.
  • Receive a free LOC decal, for your vehicle or elsewhere
  • Purchase a short or long sleeve tee shirt with the LOC logo at the bulk discounted price
  • Offer a Couglan whistle (much louder than regular whistles) to all paddling, hiking and cycling leaders

This plan is part of our “Strengthening the Club” initiative. Its purpose is to increase safety, help with advertising and promote a feel-good spirit for club members. Costs of subsidies will be covered by funds accumulated during the Covid-19 years when spending on first aid was limited.

A team lead by Louise Gibson and including members Tony Arnold, John Kafford, Sharon Crowe, John Damoiseaux, Peter Braun and Joe Burley have been working on this initiative and will send out more detailed information in the next few days/weeks

We look forward to your enthusiasm to help sustain and strengthen our club so that we can all continue to enjoy the activities, comradery and mutual support to become the best we choose to be.

Winston Ramharry on behalf of the LOC Council
