So far have confirmed 230 Nodding Ladies Tresses Orchids. This flowering date is similar to the dates I have in my Ontario field survey guide. We also checked on 1st September the area, drier terrain and to west of the Fen boardwalk, where we normally confirm the Great Plains Ladies Tresses Orchid starting first week in September. So, 13 Stems North of Wilderness Camp site, 7 Stems west of Fen boardwalk. This Orchid is the last Orchid to flower in Ontario and the only Orchid with an almond/scent. This Orchid is rated rare in Ontario, Canada and rare to uncommon Globally. This summer confirmed 2 Northern Black Widow Spiders c/w egg sack under 2 of the C5LS boards in site 3C (this the set of boards that were laid down only this year).
