IMPORTANT: All who wish to participate in this event must pre-register by midnight the night before the event. If you find you are unable to attend, kindly cancel your registration.

If you are a non-member wishing to participate, you must first join the Lambton Outdoor Club, which includes completing the member waiver. A one month free trial membership is available for first time participants. Having enjoyed an outing or two, we hope you’ll join our wonderful club following your free trial membership. The annual membership fee is $25.

While participating, be respectful of other members' health management decisions and protective steps, and please stay home if you are feeling unwell.

Event Description

Mystery Falls
The Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority’s Mystery Falls is a little-known gem not far from Rock Glen.

Note:  This is a hunting permitted area - it is always open season on coyotes in southern Ontario.  There could be hunters.

Meeting Time
If you like to carpool, meet me at Wyoming Baptist Church, 484 Broadway Street, Wyoming Ont. at 830am
or 9:15 at 415 MacDonald Dr the hike will begin promptly at 9:30
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to departure time for check-in and other information.

Level Moderate to Difficult, Challenging - adventurous; lots of up and down ravines; downed trees.  Uneven ground.


Distance  12  km to 14 km - note: we will be hiking north before going back to the falls.  8km to waterfall with no option to return to cars early unless absolutely necessary.

Pace 3.5 -4 km/hr
Duration 3 hours - 4 1/2 hours

Participants Should Be Prepared For:
hunters are allowed in the area
If it rains a day or two before the hike the ground could be slippery. It is rugged, has rolling terrain
it could be muddy, could be wet, could be icy
there are several fallen trees to step over/around or go under.
