Lambton Shores Nature Trails have several work days for their trail system coming up.

Click on Subscribe to receive their newsletter and work days. You will fill out your name and email address, there are 2 checkboxes - trails volunteer and events volunteer. Checking trails volunteer gets you on the email list for workdays, You will need to sign a waiver for the works days.

There are other ways to help.

Here are some work dates coming up

• September 11 - Complete stair work at Lambton Centre (Lambton United Church Center)
• September 26 - Trail Trimming at Mystery Falls & Ausable River Valley
• October 3 - Port Franks Community Centre chip dust
• October 17 - Installation of the final boardwalk at Ipperwash (you will need to sign up through NCC and also sign their waiver)



NOTE: These are Non-LOC events, however LOC uses most of these trails.

Long time LOC member passes away. Condolences to Bonnie and family for their loss.

With deep sadness we announce the passing of Douglas “Doug” Clarence Clark, 81, of Petrolia on September 02, 2026.

Memorial donations may be made out to the Petrolia Discovery or Victoria Playhouse Petrolia; collected by Needham-Jay Funeral Home



Celebration of life to be held September 26, 2026 at the Royal Canadian Legion Br.216, Petrolia. Visitation between 10:00AM – 1:00PM. Memorial service & musical tribute 5PM - 6PM followed by light supper.
