Cycling Leader Responsibilities
When you are registering for a ride posted on the LOC website calendar, it is useful to know that
rides are categorized loosely into groups:
Level 1 (formerly Hares), 24+ km/hr, for 40 - 75+ km
Level 2 (formerly Easy Riders), 21 - 24 km/hr, for 25-40+ km
Level 3 (formerly Easy Riders), 18 - 21 km/hr, for 25 - 40 km
Free Wheelers (~ 15-18 km/hr for 20-25 km)
Ride lengths vary from an hour to a half or full day, to longer out-of-town trips.
