Subject: Next BoatBike payment; free time options
From: Sharon Crowe

Netherlands 2023
Hi All,

This message is relating to the Sail and Bike in April.

My next payment with the BoatBikeTours is due on March 4th; perhaps yours is too.  I did a little bit of checking and found that:
Our Canadian dollar value has gone down (since our deposit was made) relative to the Euro.  It looks like it it currently on an upward trend.
The wire transfer company WISE, as Gwendolyn introduced to us, it is the least expensive method for paying.  If you wish to use that method, the BoatBikeTours banking information is included in their confirmation email.
If you make the payment by credit card there is a 3% premium.

I'm wondering if any of you have decided what activities you'll do when you're there.  If you have thoughts or have booked any please let me know.  I'm expecting jetlag to be the primary factor in deciding, hence I'm leaning toward a city barge tour on the day we arrive (I can nod off inconspicuously) and a city tour by bike on the 14th (fresh air, gentle exercise, easy on the brain).  If anybody has recommendations for booking those, I'd appreciate knowing it, and will share with other interested group members (let me know if you're interested).  Gwendolyn had a good city tour by bike with Amsterbike:
https://www.amsterbike.eu/amsterdamhistoricaltour .  They have a variety of tour options.
If your interests are similar to mine, let me know and I'll keep you posted on what I find.

Some of you are interested in ride-sharing to/from the Toronto airport.  Please let me know if you are and I'll compile a list to see what might work.  I think there are 11 of us on the same flight.

I think there are eight of us in the same Social Hub hotel.  I'll check into the price of a shared taxi from the Schiphol airport vs the longish train ride.

From Sharon...counting down the weeks.
